Paradise Valley is north of Scottsdale, and technically its own city. However, it shares its neighboring city’s renowned love of golf. Like the rest of the Valley of the Sun, every season is golf season in sunny Paradise Valley.
It’s true that Paradise Valley isn’t far enough north to escape the Valley’s sweltering summers, but don’t let that deter you—with some sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and some water, the heat is hardly a problem. Besides, many courses compensate for the absent snowbirds with great summer discounts!
And if you’re visiting in winter, then you’re probably already aware of the advantages. Paradise Valley boasts winter highs around 80 degrees and little rain, so you can be sure that every day will be a great day for a round of golf! The only question is: where to find Paradise Valley golf?
Paradise Valley Golf Course in AZ
Located in the northern stretch of the city, this public course is great for those who are just visiting and don’t want to sign up for a club. Even on weekends, an 18-hole round of golf won’t cost you more than $25 with cart included. The hours are flexible too—even if you’re busy all day, a driving range is open later for some relaxing practice. Despite being a public course, Paradise Valley Golf Course in AZ also offers memberships for those seeking the best value, and boasts an on-site bar and restaurant.
Camelback Golf Club
Technically in Scottsdale, this club is close enough to Paradise Valley that it’s easily accessible. It’s actually two courses—thirty-six total holes of championship-level golf. Supported as part of the Marriott chain of resorts and hotels, you know this course has a prestigious name to live up to, so you can expect a worthwhile golfing experience.
McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Another 36-hole club, McCormick Ranch boasts some fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. It too provides cheaper rates for those who purchase memberships, with different membership types letting you find the right fit for how often you’ll be in the area. The clubs have been featured in a few tours, and the club is often host to large gatherings, including weddings and award luncheons. So if several of your friends have heard of this place, don’t be surprised!
